Another shaker card for great grandson's birthday. Only one more to go! I used the zebra stencil on orange zest paper. The tigers have to be bright since we are from Cincinnati and that's the color of the football team uniforms! LOL. I added some depth and shading to the tigers after watching Stephanie's video on using colored pencils on cardstock. I love how these little guys turned out!

Another card with the amazing Mermaid set from MFT. This time I water colored the background with Peerless watercolors. I colored the mermaid, rock, shell and turtle (all included in the set) with Copic markers, fussy cut them and added to the scene. I stamped a group of gold fish added some gems and called it finished. I am sure there will be more appearances of this set here.
I love the roses paper pack. These papers need very little in the way of embellishment. I used a curved edge to soften the line between the papers and a large sentiment on the diagonal for the top stripe. I love the way it turned out and hope it is not sent too soon.
This is another card using the shaving cream background. I loved the subtle colors in this one. I chose to bring out the touches of pink by using ripe raspberry cardstock as a mat and the flower. I used vellum for the mat behind the flower so as not to detract from the background. A strip of brushed silver was used for the diagonal to add some shine to the card.
Friends of ours moved from our park into a new one and I wanted to send them a card. This sketch provided a wonderful feature space to create a little scene. I used materials from MFT's card kit. I love the wood paper and the sentiments about home. Hope it lets them know how happy we are for them.

I was so excited when my card kit arrived. I had already stamped, embossed and cut out the "Funky Flowers" in the appropriate colors but wasn't quite sure how to finish the card. I had chosen the "Bold Stripes" cover up but something was missing. When I saw the "You" in the card kit, I changed out the bold stripes for the "Diagonal Sentiment" cover up and featured the script "you". I love it!

This background was made using shaving cream and reinkers. When I saw the teal color in it, I knew it would be the perfect setting for my mermaid. I didn't want to hide any of the background so I made the back of my shaker with acetate as well as the front. I love the way it turned out!

I really love this sketch. When I saw the strip across the top, I immediately thought of this sentiment strip. I first stamped the background with the Lined up dots background stamp with Versamark ink. I heat embossed it with "Vanilla Ice" embossing powder from "Sparkle N Sprinkle". It really adds some sparkle. Next layer is dry embossed. I used a sentiment from Beautiful Butterflies, I believe. I stamped with Gravel Gray and then clear embossed it for shine. When I was testing the embossing powder to see how it would look, I stamped the rose. I felt the card needed a touch of color, so I used some Red Hot ink and a water brush. I pulled the color down from the top until it was pink. I added some Jelly Bean leaves and a flourish for final touch.

I love this background. I stamped it with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with a black sparkle embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle. It really does sparkles in the light. I colored the "tropical Blooms" accent flower with cherry crisp ink and a water brush. I had previously stamped and embossed it on watercolor paper with detail gold embossing powder. Once I colored it, it resembled a poppy, so I added a black center with Nuvo drops. Gold leaves and a white sentiment on cherry crisp paper finished the card.
